Lea Georg
Lea Georg beschäftigt sich seit Jahren mit dem Thema «Rhythmus und Reihung». Der Schwerpunkt ihrer Arbeit liegt bei mehrteiligen Porzellanobjekten, bei welchen sich die Funktion des Gefässes vom alltäglichen Gebrauchsgegenstand zum Formelement einer abstrakten Skulptur verschiebt.
Weiterhin widmet sie sich auch ihren feinst gearbeiteten Teeschalen.
Lea Georg ist Mitglied von IAC «International Academy of Ceramics» und Swissceramics
Lea Georg is a Swiss ceramic artist who is a member of International Academy of Ceramic (IAC), Swiss Ceramic Association, and Form Forum Switzerland. Lea studied ceramic at the State Institute of Ceramic Art «G. Ballardini» in Faenza, Italy (1985–1987). She continued her academic pursue at University of Arts in Porcelain Design, Krefeld, Germany (1987–1988); and University of Applied Sciences and Arts, Zurich, Switzerland (1998–2001). Since 1988 she has participated in many exhibitions both in her home country and abroad, the most recent were: International Ceramics Competition, Mino Japan (2017); Biennale Internationale de la Céramique, Saint-Cergue, Switzerland (2016), Taiwan Ceramics Biennale, New Taipei City, Taiwan (2016); III. International Triennial of Ceramics UNICUM 2015, Ljubljana, Slovenia (2015); 3rd Jakarta Contemporary Ceramics Biennale, Jakarta, Indonesia (2014). She lives and works in Zurich, Switzerland.
